NEW Preschool Mini-Session... Starts Feb. 7, 2012!
2 1/2 - 5 year olds
An 8 week session preschool combination class including tap and ballet will start on February 7th. Classes held on Tuesdays 4:15-5:00pm. $10.00 registration fee. $110.00 class fee with $55.00 due on the first lesson. Balance due by March 1st. Please call the studio for more information and to get registered.
Carolina Shag Workshops
4 Week Sessions starting August 15th, 2011
4 weeks of class, Mondays, 7:45-8:30pm and cost is $55.00 per person, no registration fee. First session starts Aug. 15th. When registering be sure to click on the "Carolina Shag" tab.
Dancercise & Tapercise Classes!
Judy Oltmann Bennett
Judy Oltmann Bennett, daughter of Mrs. Trudy, is a retired owner of Trudy's School of Dance where she taught dancing of all styles for over 40 years. Judy retired from actively teaching in the studio in 2008.
Since then she has been teaching at the Lowcounry Senior Center on James Island, where she has voluntarily taught Dancercise since 2003. She has recently added Tapercise, a fun and exciting way to learn basic tap skills and get a great workout as well. Each class has a 15 minute warm up with stretching and toning exercises to get the body ready fo some fun dancing! Each class is a full hour or movin' & groovin' to great music that we all love.
Dancercise is a combination of stretching, toning, fun exercises, a little ballet, jazz, belly dancing and more! You do NOT have to "know how to dance" to do this class! Her fun and energetic classes have been so popular and in demand that she has decided to add a couple morning classes at Trudy's studio so that other adults and seniors of all ages can enjoy the fun and get some great exercise while learning to dance.
These classes are ongoing and students are free to come to either or both classes without prior registration; there is no registration fee. These are "walk-in" classes that you can attend whenever it is convenient for you. Each class is $10, payable when you come to class. Checks should be made out to Judy Bennett or cash payments only. No debit or credit cards accepted.
