Trudy's School of Dance is one of the oldest & largest dance studios in South Carolina! Trudy's was started by Mrs. Trudy Oltmann in 1939. Mrs.Trudy is well & now retired from teaching.
The studio was turned over to her two daughters, Linda and Judy, in the mid-1980s. The sisters have been involved in their mother's studio since early childhood. Now they are joined by Tiffany O. Gauch, Linda's daughter, who is the third generation dance teacher in the family! With the help of Tiffany & the other talented instructors at Trudy's, we look forward to another fabulous year of dancing!
Our Mission
"Our mission is to provide each student with a professional, well-rounded dance education. We feel it is important that each and every student has the opportunity to be the very best that they can be, and we strive to help them achieve their own personal goals, as well as develop their confidence and self esteem, through positive reinforcement."
Our staff consists of well trained and experienced dance instructors, with expertise in all areas of dance, specializing in various styles and techniques. Many of our instructors hold bachelor degrees in dance, as well as having professional expereince as working dancers and choreographers. All of our staff members continue their training and education through seminars, master classes, and dance conventions, to keep abreast of the latest dance styles, techniques, and teaching methods. We believe in "continuing education" with our instructors and ourselves. It is important that we keep up-to-date so we can provide our students with "cutting edge" dance stylizations and choreography.
We also carry dance shoes & dancewear for our students!
